THE GODHEAD
First of all, do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God? This determination could possibly help you to understand the below written explanation of The Godhead.
In the Christian faith, the Godhead seems very difficult for some to understand, grasp and accept. For some reason it seems unreal for three to make one.
We Christians understand there is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The three different personalities make ONE Supreme being.
The first book of the Bible, Genesis, declares: Let US make man in our image. The US, of course, is the personalities referenced above.
Let's use the analogy of a salad fork or perhaps the gardening tool pictured to your right. There, you can see three separate prongs, but they are all connected to the same handle just as with the prongs of some forks.
Therefore, we can say, "This is a fork." or "We have a gardening tool." and never, "I have some prongs". God, the Father is connected to God, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit. This would also mean that God, the Son is connected to the other two as well as God, the Holy Spirit is connected in the same manner.
They are ONE. One entity with three offices of work to do and perform. They are GOD, they are the TRINITY! They are ONE.
